Unfortunately, I believe the only way to delete files is through the start screen. I had the same problem with my pokemon white game. However, I hope I'm wrong.

You can't. You can delete the old file. but you can't save a new file without deleting the old ones first. You know when you see Zekrom (the black legendary Pokemon) on the title screen? There press and Hold Up+Select+B, and it'll ask you if you want to delete the existing save file (the old one). Press Yes and you'll be able to play a new file and save it.

you could in basic terms play on a 2d save document in case you do not save it. Pokemon video games are in basic terms designed for a million save document as they require a brilliant number of reminiscence. Even at factors once you beat the Elite 4 and it activates you to save, do not do it. you will additionally would desire to circumvent utilising the determining to purchase and promotion/wireless etc centers on the staggering of Pokemon centers as this calls so which you would be able to save additionally. or you would be able to desire to easily get yet another reproduction, possibly of Black so which you would be able to commerce each and all the appropriate lacking Pokemon and stuff :)

if u're playing on a ds then sorry to say but u'll have to go to main screen to delete d old file :( .

but if u're playing on an emulator, u can always go in emulator memory n delete it manually..

i hope u're playing on an emulator coz it really sucks to lose that valuable progress... :(
