Minecraft tracking tips?

Long story short: PvP

I want to know if there are any tips on how to find where players went, and if they'd been someplace. Mainly without asking them.

I know there are mods that can do this well, but I want to stay vanilla so there's no hassle with joining multiplayer.

I think this would've probably belonged on a dedicated forum, but I don't have an account, and I don't plan do so because of this question.

1. Follow them around (drink invsi potion)

2. just ask (its cheesy but some are dumb)

3. ask about their base/house and if you can join them.

4. if the server has a livemap plugin look for their trail

5. if you play on mcpvp build a fullmap tracker (its a plugin)

6. join play.faction-wars.com (sry I need players :3)
