about choooooseing a bug pokemon for diamond and perl?

Question

i was chooseing against scizor and vespiquen for my team.
the problem is that i have perl, and i got a scyther from my friend at lv 1, but then i evolved it at level 1, into scizor, and it feels weird cos it wont ever evolve again,

on the other hand, i haven evolved my female combee into vespiquen, so tahts all right, cos i accutaly need to train it to evolve.

but then scizor is waaaaaayy better, but feels weird for me cos i just evolved it at lv 1

but vespiquen is worse but i acctually trained it.

Vespiquen is a good Pokemon because it's both fit for defense and attack with Attack Order and Defense Order. Scizor is really cool because it has great speed and awesome moves. But almost all the people I know who have a bug-type in their type use Heracross because it's both bug and fighting type. Heracross can learn Megahorn and Close Combat so it can be a powerhouse!
