i cant solve the matchstick part which i have to make squares first i have to make four square but i cant and time ran out. now i have to make 3 squares. if someone help me i will be happy

The trick is to make squares using more matchsticks if you are going from a higher number to a lower number and to use fewer (i.e. to use the same stick as an edge for more than one square) when going the other way. To go from 4 to 3, it should look like a pyramid with 3 squares on the bottom and 1 on top in the middle, only the middle square on the bottom isn't closed at the bottom. I hope that makes sense. I tried to draw it, but the formatting kept going wonky!

if you run out of time on chapter 3, and start the matchsticks

again different shapes will appear which are easier to match.
