What's the answer to Queen Ann's riddle? I'm looking for an actual answer and not something like "it's a car, but not a truck"...

And I'm probably wrong when I said that last one, and even if I was right, I'm only guessing as to what the pattern of the riddle is. Can anyone explain?

Queen Anne’s Riddle - The goal of this riddle is to figure out what Queen Anne likes and what she doesn’t like. Start by saying, “Queen Anne likes pepper but she doesn’t like salt.” Then it’s their turn. Someone might say, “Queen Anne likes hamburgers, but she doesn’t like steak?” You’d answer, “Nope. She doesn’t like either. But she loves pizza!” A final clue you can give them is: “Queen Anne likes spelling but she doesn’t like meaning.”

The secret is: Queen Anne likes only words that have two of the same letters in a row (such as Queen, Anne, and Riddle).

Queen Ann's Riddle is a pattern, like you said. Say a word with double letters, then a related word without double letters.

Like, it's good, but not great. It's happy, but not sad. It's aggressive, but not mean. It's middle, but not end. It's rabbit, but not hare.

Part of the fun is seeing how long it takes to get people to understand the pattern.
