Hey,asker.Stop reading the person's answer above me.

Its obvious he never played Emerald.Because many moveset he gave is only available for the next gen game.not Emerald.

=My simple answer is:

=1.Swampert:

-Dont pick Torchic, when it evolves it will have many weakness.

-Swampert is only weak to grass, but it can beat grass foe easily by learning ice moves.

>Moveset:

-Surf (Muddy water is not as accurate as Surf)

-Earthquake (lv52)

-Ice Beam/Blizzard(tm)

-Strength/Any of your choice

=2.Swellow:It can be caught early in the game and can aid in beating grass pokemon.

-Wing Attack

-Fly

-Double Team(for advantage against high defense oppnent)

-Double Edge(move tutor at Sootopolis city)

=3.Gardevoir

-Psychic

-Future Sight

-Calm Mind

-Thunderbolt(tm)

=4.Aggron

-Iron Tail

-Rock Tomb(tm)/Rock Slide

-Take Down

-Iron Defense

=5.Walrein

-Ice Beam

-Surf

-Blizzard/Sheer Cold

-Body Slam

=6.Camerupt

-Flamethrower

-Eruption

-Earthquake

-Rock Slide

=>HOWEVER. After you beat Elite4 & Wallace, and gain access to Battle Frontier,

You need to change:

=Swellow to Salamence.

Moveset:

-Fly

-Dragon Claw

-Crunch/Fire Blast

-Brick Break(tm)

=Aggron to Metagross.

-Meteor Mash

-Psychic

-Earthquake(tm)

-Iron Defense.

==>Its because these two is easier to get after that.

For Salamence,go to Meteorite Fall,go up by using waterfall,go inside, enter deeper till you found Tm Dragon Claw.that location is the only place where Bagon can be found.

For Metagross,go to Steven's house at Mossdeep city.you'll get a pokeball containing Beldum.

-->you'll need these strong team to beat the Battle Frontier.

It's hard to suggest a team with no base because I don't know how you play and which pokemon/moves you like and don't like, but here goes. Mudkip is probably the easiest starter, then Treecko and Torchic, but fully evolved they're all good. It's best not to have type repeats on one team unless they've got different movesets and secondary types. I'd recommend a water type because otherwise its a pain to get around late in the game (personal experience). A flying type is always good (Skarmory works well), and I'd have a good strong heavy hitting pokemon like Aggron or Flygon to dish out lots of damage. A reliable, powerful pokemon like Gardevoir, and try and have a balance between physical and special attackers. Other than that its up to you.

alrighty the team i am about to tell you will take alot of work so bear with me!

Starter:

Blaziken

sky uppercut/ hi jump kick

Flare blitz/flamethrower

Brave bird

Bulk up

my favorite fire type because he can learn flying moves, fire moves, and fighting moves

take advantage of all his types!

Salamence:

Dragon dance

Dragon claw

Fly

fireblast/draco meter (i prefer fblast)

Has great offensive stats, Dragon dance up then hit the opposition with a powerful fireblast or dragon claw

Metagross

Earthquake

meteor mash

psychic

hammer arm/iron defense

make the decision if you want this to me a attacker with solid defense to support or just straight attacker... I recomend hammer arm although i have seen iron deffense work though

now for a more d line up

Ludicollo (left overs)

Giga drain

rain dance (rain dish)

hydro pump

leech seed

i like this pokemon because of his ability and move pool! also how he is grass and water. He is a very good wall in a way. Since there is so many things that can contribute to keep him healthy. Teach him rain dance so rain dish will heal him then throw some seeds and get some health there and giga drain will also keep him healthy, then left overs... after every turn your oponnent will be screaming because you will recover all your health back! the only weakness is poision bug and flying... and if you use this strategie you will out last them any way

Now here is a little choice you have three pokemon to chose from it will change the style of your team

Wailord/Gyrados/walrein

I recomend walrein because it is all aroung stats although if you want heavy O take g-dos

or if you want another wall for some D line take Wailord for the heavy HP.

I will give you the moves for Walrein but if you want one of the others make sure they know a ice move and G-dos knows a dragon move and hydro pump and Wailord should know a ice and very powerful water moves.

Walrein:

Surf

Ice beam

Waterfall

Rain Dance

use rain dance first (if not already in affect, so your water will be extra strong and also you wont have to use it if you want for ludicollo)

Claydol Great pokemon:

Psychic

Ancient power

Earthquake

Shadow Ball

Your Team Does not really have a Special attacker which is not a big deal it just means you are alot more psychical! so don't relay on that to bail you out all though you should be fine

Claydol :Special Defense (Defense)

Wailmer: All around

Blaziken: Mixed attacker with nice speed

Ludicolo: Wall style recoverer, with nice mixed stats

Salamence: Sweeper (heavy attacker)

Metagross: Attack and Deffense pro!

The other
